We take care of children who have been abandoned by their families for lack of resources. We work towards our vision of providing safety and equal opportunities for all mentally challenged children.

At Sri Arunodayam, the children are categorised based on their condition and their abilities. Appropriate training is imparted to children in each group. These groups are managed by qualified special educators. The children’s progress is assessed and evaluated once every three months.

Early intervention – This group is for children from 0-6 years. The program is designed to meet the developmental needs of children who have a delay in physical, cognitive, communicative, social, emotional or adaptive development, or have a diagnosed condition that has a high probability of resulting in developmental delay.

Pre-Primary 1 & 2 – In this group, we impart basics of education, self-help training like dressing, eating, grooming and indicating toilet needs.

Primary – Generally, children in this group are physically healthy. We teach them concepts of time, number, money, reading and writing skills. We encourage them to participate in sports and cultural activities.
