A Typical Day at Sri Arunodayam

Here is the schedule for the children on typical a day at Sri Arunodayam.

We wake up the children around 6 o'clock in the morning. The first thing that we do is to brush their teeth. Most of the children are not capable of communicating their toilet indications. We meticulously toilet train them. This is followed by a refreshing bath. The children are dressed up and assembled for breakfast which is served at 8 am.

After breakfast, prescribed medicines are administered for each child. If medical dressing has to be done for any child, it is done.

The Special Educator starts training the children according to the needs of the child. This is followed by Physiotherapy Exercise and Yoga.

Lunch is served at 12 noon . Again medicines are administered and the children are made to rest for a while.

Later, they are made to engage in self help activities and dressing skills. They play games for a while and then have evening snacks. After snacks, they play again for a while. A washing and cleaning session follows.

On Tuesdays and Fridays they are taken to a nearby place of worship.

They watch television for a while and are fed dinner. Medicines are given. The children have milk and go to bed.
