Here is a brief note about a few children who are now in the love and care of Sri Arunodayam. All these children are severely mentally retarded and require custodial care.
- One year old Hemi was found abandoned in the toilet at Chennai General Hospital . The Hospital authorities handed over the child to Sri Arunodayam. She was christened by us. Now, she is one and a half years old.
- Public noticed a two year old boy abandoned in a temple at Katpadi ( Vellore district). The Police rescued the child. After ascertaining that the parents refused to accept Saravanan , the Social Welfare Department, handed him over to Sri Arunodayam.
- Similarly, the parents of Thamaraiselvi left her at Salem in the thottil kuzhandai , which literally means cradle baby an arrangement instituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu for parents to abandon unwanted babies. This arrangement is to curb infanticide. Thamaraiselvi was admitted into Sri Arunodayam with the help of the Social Welfare Department.
- Manoj Kumar , now a 3 month baby, was found abandoned at Egmore Children Hospital . He was a one old month baby when the Hospital authorities handed him over to Sri Arunodayam.
the authorities at Sai Baba Temple , Injambakkam, Chennai found four month old Avinash abandoned in the temple. The Police handed over the baby to Sri Arunodayam , where he was christened.
